Five-Way Split is a new jointly-led band formed in 2020 featuring some of the finest contemporary bebop musicians in the UK,
feat.
Quentin Collins, trumpet, Vasilis Xenopoulos, Tenor Sax, Rob Barron, Piano, Matt Home, Drums and Matyas Hofecker, Bass. The band’s vision is to carry on the lineage of groups like Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers as well mirroring the New York contemporary-bop scene.

What a brilliant debut album! I have bought it as a CD first and then as a download so I can play it anytime I want on my phone. And the mix is so clear on the tiny speakers you can even get the double bass tone properly. It sounds like it was recorded in the 1950’s by the greats, recommended!
